US Prospector is headed by Joel K. Farmer, in Boise Idaho.

Joel is a long time prospector in the gold districts of Idaho and the mother lode of California. He has spent over 15 years developing prospecting equipment specifically to recover the fine gold native to Idaho and many other locations of the world.

Equipment development work has taken place in locations where up to forty percent of the deposit is -200 mesh gold. Available equipment couldn't adequately recover the fine gold deposits. Knowing that larger gold was easily recovered by any equipment,

Joel began to design and develop equipment to increase the yield of these deposits by recovering more gold - from nuggets to 300 mesh. This equipment was very successful and began to be noticed by other prospectors. It was at this point Joel began to build equipment for fellow prospectors. As the popularity and sales of his equipment grew, so did his need to create a more formal business structure.

This was the beginning of US Prospector.
